April Showers bring...

It was a Happy Mother's Day with beautiful flowers from Sheldon
and a beautiful cake that Annaliese made for me at my mom's and many other wonderful gifts =)
Thanks for the blessings you all are in my life!
Once again we didn't even need to teach our child how to ride a bike (sniff).
Natalie took Aaron's training wheels off while we were out on Saturday,
and we came home to this...
We should have known it wouldn't take long with Aaron's great coordination -- Woo hoo!
He is so excited about bike riding that he wants to stay outside -- all of the time =)
Now that we live on a cul-de-sac, there are many more opportunities to ride a bike.
Since bike riding intimidated Evan before, and since we lived on a busy street from the time he was 5 anyway, he was fine riding a scooter!
However, the day Aaron learned, he hopped on his sister's bike and realized how easy it was!
Looks like Evan needs a bike now =)

  1. I love that Annaliese made you a cake for Mother's Day! And I'm so impressed with what a great job she did.

Love the bike story! Isn't it funny how the older kids take over and be the parent sometimes for the younger ones?

  2. Annaliese's cake was just beautiful, and the flowers from Sheldon were too! How nice of your family to make the day so special for you. You are a pretty amazing mother. Good job to Aaron! That is so neat. A few months ago we took off Ben's training wheels also, and were shocked when he took off riding without them. Good job Aaron!!

  3. Hooray your bike riders. Jarom's and Travis both learned bike riding at about the same time too. Though, Jarom loves it and is perfecting it, while Travis still prefers the scooter.
We didn't DO bikes in Seattle living at the bottom of a huge hill and with no real places to store bikes either. So they got theirs at the same time. Love how peer pressure of the "younger" brother worked on Evan.

  4. If we ever get away from a busy street, Hannah and Thomas will probably be learning to ride a bike at the same time, too. =) I'm glad they won't be the only ones like that.

Annaliese's cake turned out so pretty! I'm glad you had such a nice Mother's Day.
