Ringing it in!

The girls went to Jeanine's parents'
on New Year's Eve afternoon,
stayed overnight (with their cousin),
and then all went to church together.
The rest of us went to Sheldon's parents'.
We ate, watched a movie, played games,
had fun, and left by 10:15 pm, since
Sheldon had early morning meetings, and
the rest of us had to be in Primary by 9:00 am.

Here's Aaron with Annaliese's hamster (aka: party animal)!
Seriously, Flynn parties all night long anyway,
so we let him roll around for a while in his ball, =)
Nathan, Sheldon, Evan, Aaron

while we toasted with sparkling cider,
before some went to bed.

And then some of us, including family at my parents',
watched NBC King 5 New Year's at the [Seattle Space] Needle!
It is one of the world's largest structure-launched fireworks displays,
presented for the 18th consecutive year!
Although they forgot to do the actual countdown, =(
and we knew it was midnight only when the fireworks started,
it was a great eight-minute show this year!

Happy New Year 2012!

  1. Isn't it funny how staying up until/past midnite becomes less exciting and more painful as the years go by? =)
    Happy New Year!

  2. A fun New Years! I never knew about the King 5 News fireworks show... maybe because we always went back to Idaho for Christmas. We only stayed up until 10 on New Years. We're wimps. :)
By the way, your blog is now letting me comment as myself again. Yay!
