Kudos!

It was a big night!
I took Evan and 3 of his siblings to Pack Meeting.
Evan was awarded his Bear badge and a few other awards as well!
He earned his bear this past fall, but due to the weather and holidays it hadn't worked out
to present the award until this month.
It was a great meeting with the theme of Faith.
The cub master (our Bishop's wife) brought bear-themed treats on Evan's behalf!
With my mother's bear pin and our new Bear!
Congratulations Evan!
Sheldon and my Mom took Natalie to the
Middle School Honor Festival at the Edmonds Center for the Arts
that same evening.
The orchestra, choir and band students
were selected by their school directors through a screening process.
There were 13 middle schools in 4 districts involved.
Only 70 students out of 600 string players were chosen for the orchestra;
it was an honor!
They spent hours in individual preparation,
and then over 4 hours in rehearsal that day with the guest conductors.
After Pack Meeting, the kids and I were able to hear the choir perform,
but had just missed the orchestra!
They were amazing performances,
especially considering the only practice time they had
altogether was 4 hours!
Sheldon was able to post all 3 orchestra pieces
on his facebook through You Tube.
Enjoy! =)

  1. Congratulations to Evan and to Natalie! Both great accomplishments -- too bad the ceremonies conflicted with each other. =P

  3. Congratulations to them both! When you have a big family, it seems many of their activities conflict with each other, unfortunately. I bet you're so proud of them!!
