4th year hike

The 4th year girls go on their overnight hike
for girls' camp certification
separate and in addition to
girls' camp week held at Ensign Ranch.
I drove Natalie and her back pack =)
down to the Lynnwood Stake Center last Friday afternoon.
The girls and their leaders then drove to
Salmon La Sac;
a beautiful hiking and camping area at Snoqualmie Pass.
They hiked
about 4 miles in on the Waptus River Trail,

Natalie (2nd from left), 2 friends from the Stake &
Brionna (far right); friend from school she invited

and set up camp for the night!
It was exhausting, but they made it
(the 4 miles back out the next day too)!
Dinner and then breakfast and lunch
on Saturday were provided.

The leaders in previous years,
had found a cliff to jump from
into the deep and freezing river water below!

Pretty courageous!

They did it!
Although they were really hot from their hike,
it still felt like the freezing mountain water that it is
when they each jumped in!
They all had a great time!
