The kids did the summer reading program through the local city library again this year.
It's mostly our girls that read, but we all benefit by receiving free Aquasox baseball (a minor league) tickets to a game in Everett!
It was perfect weather that evening, although the mosquitoes were out in force!
I couldn't get 1 of our children to hold still long enough for a good picture =)
We were a little late to the game though.
I had found a van on the internet, had gone into the dealer
just to test drive it,
and to see what our financial picture would be.
We weren't planning on trading in our Dodge Grand Caravan 2001 that day,
although it was on its "last legs,"
but after test driving the new van,
and having the financial dept. make the numbers work...
It was a productive day!
There wasn't much left on our van loan,
so the dealer paid it off,
and gave us additional trade in value
and we got a great low interest rate,
so that our payments are the
same on our Toyota Sienna 2006, with low miles! We love it!
The kids and I have only made it 4 times this summer to the weekly free movies at the local theatre! For 3 weeks this summer the kids were taking turns being sick =(
Natalie is our movie organizer which includes; putting together water bottles, candy bags,
making the popcorn, and making sure we are all ready and out the door on time!
Hence the reason why we didn't go the week of Girls' Camp either =)
This was the last week of free movies, and being able to sit in the overflow theatre, we had our pick of seats!
Sheldon finally had time to mow the lawn again the other day,
but before I could take the picture of Nathan and his dad with their lawn mowers,
Nathan had put his away, and run inside to get a pair of scissors instead!
He is cutting the dandelions one by one!
Doesn't that seem more like a horrible chore or punishment? =)

Thomas was the first one in our fam to notice your new van. Congratulations! We didn't make it to a single free movie this summer. {Maybe because we don't have an awesome movie organizer like Natalie?!} Love that Nathan traded in his mower for scissors -- What dedication! What attention to detail! What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the movie theater brought back memories of us going to the free movies there too, a couple summers ago! I love your new van. It looks very nice and I've heard good things about Siennas. Sounds like you got a great deal... extra bonus! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new van! And you can't argue a good deal like that! We had a used Toyota Corolla when we were first married, and we literally drove that thing into the ground. In the end, we put 250,000 miles on it, and it had to be towed out of our driveway. Long live Toyotas! =)
