Elementary School

Evan really wanted to be a cross guard this year!

Although our family's schedules make it difficult,

Evan is signed up to cross kids

safely in the parking lot

for 2 weeks every few weeks =)

We leave at 7:30 am. to make sure he's there on time,

and then I pick the boys up after school during the 2-week stints.

That's not too bad...

just exhausting

during the overlapping week that it's my turn to drive the

kids to school from seminary at 6:45 am.... =)

Aaron's school class recently participated in a Young Athletes event.

Three of the primary grade classrooms participated,

which included kids with and without disabilities.

The program's activities were supervised by Special Olympics.

The goal:

Get younger kids involved in physical activities, and

raise awareness about the abilities of children with intellectual disabilities.

The kids had fun rotating through stations

as they practiced jumping, running, balancing, throwing, and kicking

with balls, cones, hoops and scarves. =)

The kids received a free t-shirt,

but the real bonus for Aaron was the 'real' gold medal they each wore home!
