This year our pack ran the annual cub scout pinewood derby solo.
(In previous years we have been part of a tri-pack due to the small
number of boys!)
Sheldon and Evan had been working on their cars
for a few nights together, since our pack decided on a
father-son derby.
After a pancake breakfast for the families, and the cars were weighed in,
the races were on!
Nathan, our upcoming Wolf in 3 1/2 years, watching the races =)
Aaron, our upcoming cub scout in one year, intently watching the races!(He's wearing Evan's Bear neckerchief and slide =)
Dad and Evan with their winning cars =)Evan tied with 2 others for 2nd place overall,
and Sheldon took 1st for the Dad's races =)
Evan also received an award for 'Coolest Paint Job'!

Congratulations! I love that they did a Father-Son derby -- what a great idea! Glad they had a good first solo run. =)
ReplyDeletethat is awesome! What a good idea to have the dad make a seperate car. It might even encourage dad's to let their sons actually make a car. LOL!
