Field Day

It's not the Field Day that Sheldon and I remember from

elementary school...

with the competition, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons

in events such as the 100 yard dash, long jump, and relay races.

But, our elementary school kids did have fun just being outside for a 1 1/2 hour

long break, participating in many fun activities =)

We saw some of the field events for the intermediate grades in the morning, and

then watched some for the primary grades in the afternoon.

The wheelbarrow race was pretty difficult for most of the kids =)

It was nice to have water activities, like the wet-sponge race, on a very warm day!

And 'hit the water balloon with the bat', was a big hit! =)
